Sacred Games

This collection came to me at a time in my life and art career when I needed it most. As an artist, it is easy to get lost in my own mind which is jumbled with myriad of expectations. So, I set out on a mark making journey to blaze a new path for myself and my viewers.

My goal has been to free my mind of restrictions and get back to the basics. How does the oil pastel feel in my hand? How does it feel when the pencil scrapes across the paper? What do I feel when I mix a specific color? What feeling can I try to put into strokes, shapes, and patterns; etcetera?

Showing up authentically and intuitively has changed my relationship with my materials, my work, and myself for the better. I’m hopeful that this is the beginning of something great.”
